Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Work site environment: Work Outdoors all year round, At heights (able to work safely at heights and high structures) Transportation/travel information: Vehicle supplied by employer when performing job related work, Willing to travel, Travel expenses paid by employer Job Description: The role of the Rigger – Telecommunication is to perform all aspect of tower and rooftop installations and maintenance as well as all antenna system installation and maintenance. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail, Repetitive tasks, Ability to distinguish between colours, Handling heavy loads (able to lift 75 lbs of materials to chest height), Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Physically demanding, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Manual dexterity Work Location Information: Various locations in and around the province, Relocation costs covered by employer Personal suitability: Flexibility, Judgement, Organized, Reliability, Efficient interpersonal skills, Initiative, Team player Equipment and machinery experience: Coaxial line, Fibre optics, Copper Major Work Area: Installation, Maintenance, Repair, Service Specific Tasks/Responsibilities: Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment. Test equipment to locate transmission faults. Install trunking systems, circuits and equipment. Determine nature, cause and location of trouble. Inspect and test trunking systems. Splice, join and connect wires. Repair or replace defective telephone equipment. Good mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of power and hand tools. Relocation Financial Support: The company will offer a $2,000.00 relocation benefit to new employees who are Canadian PRs and Citizens.
